Runamok Organic Maple Syrup 60 mL
Infused maple syrups using 100% organic ingredients. 60 mL
Pecan Wood Smoked: What the what? Yes, smoked. Through a proprietary method, this is a smoked maple syrup that will deliver both sugar and smoke to any dish or cocktail. Not a good choice for pancakes, this syrup is great drizzled over dishes such as chili, BBQ or glazed root vegetables. Add it to a cocktail in place of simple syrup and you have background notes of smoke and caramel. Serve over apple crisp, put a dab on Stilton and serve it up with crackers.
Elderberry: The first flavor across your tongue may be somewhat woodsy with a finish of wild berries. Then you realize this syrup tastes exactly like figs – or rather, figs drizzled in maple. A unique and delicious concoction, this syrup is wonderful on pancakes or see our recipe for pound cake.
Bourbon Barrel-Aged: This starts with the best organic maple syrup and age it in recently emptied Bourbon barrels. The syrup draws in the essence of the Bourbon without the alcohol. Like premium whiskeys, the process takes time, and careful tending. But the result is a sophisticated duo that will become a new classic.
Merquén (Smoked Chili Pepper): Merquén is a chili blend from the Mapuche region of Chile. The peppers are ripened to a dark red color to develop rich flavor then slow smoked over a fire. When we infuse them in our maple syrup, all of the profiles of the pepper – the heat, the smokiness and the rich pepper taste are magnified by the caramel tones of the maple.
Sugarmaker's Cut: This is the very best organic maple syrup of the season. We taste each run and when the flavor is at its peak our sugarmaker sets it aside with a note: 'Reserve for Sugarmaker’s Cut'. It has always been what we give to our friends, our family and ‘those in the know.’ Now we offer it to you.
This batch of Sugarmaker’s Cut is graded as: Grade A: Amber Color - Rich taste Certified organic by Vermont Organic Farmers. Our woods are certified as Bird-Friendly by Audubon Vermont.
